Wanda Lee (Rohr) Shroyer

Wanda Lee (Rohr) Shroyer was born on November 16, 1931 in Pickaway County, Ohio. She passed away on July 24, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 92 years. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Shroyer, Jr. and devoted mother of Lindy L. Stasen (Edward), Gregory W. Shroyer (Linda), Jeffrey D. Shroyer (Kristin), & Stuart M. Shroyer (Steph).  Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her daughter, the late Cindy S. Emmert (Edward).  Wanda moved to Carroll, Ohio and graduated from Carroll High School in 1949. She met her husband, Bill, at Ohio State University during the Snow Bowl weekend in 1950. They were married on December 21, 1952. She was a loving wife,mother, sister, business partner, grandmother, hostess, and lover of travel, especially to their cottage of many years in Lakeside, Ohio. Wanda was named Volunteer of the Year for the Ohio State Fireman's Auxiliary, President of Faith Lutheran Church (FLC) and FLC Women. She was awarded "The Shoe" for teaching so many kindergartners how to tie their shoes during her volunteering at Lakeside Elementary. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 1st from 10:00 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.  Following the services at the cemetery, there will be a luncheon for everyone at Faith Lutheran Church, 8265 Winton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
