Virgil M. Holloman, age 90, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of May 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving daughters. Virgil was the oldest of five children, born on December 8, 1935, in Osawatomie, Kansas, to the late Virgil Mabron and Sadie Irene (Burgoon) Holloman. In 1957, he married his beloved wife, Carol Ann Holloman, and together they shared 57 beautiful years before her passing. Their love story was a testament to the deep bond they forged together over the decades. Virgil served with pride in the United States Army, and after his military service, he dedicated himself to his career in engineering by founding and operating Holloman and Associates Inc. in Olathe, Kansas. His impact on others was profound; he devoted his time to mentoring many young men in the field of engineering, guiding them on their paths to success. His kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew him. He had a warm spirit, often filling the room with laughter through his jokes. In his spare time, he found joy in golfing, bowling, and, more recently, bird watching. He cherished the simple pleasures in life, including savoring a glass of red wine and enjoying a Backwoods cigar. Virgil is survived by his devoted daughters, Deanna Murphy (Thomas); Lisa Lowe (Steve), Laurie Howard (Dale); his cherished grandchildren, Katy, Tomi, Jake, Mickey, Aubrey, and Trey; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Robi, Gracie, Dilyn, Roxie, Rylee, Cain, Taylor, Gunner, Anderson, Aniston, and Elliot. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Carol Ann; his parents; his grandson, Michael Murphy; and his baby sister, Dorothy Holloman. A memorial gathering will be held to honor his life and legacy at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, located at 3950 Pleasant Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45015, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM. In this time of sorrow, we invite friends and family to share their memories and condolences on the tribute wall at www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com.
