Thomas Edgar Rupp was born in New Burlington, Ohio to Estaline Hope (nee Stowe) and Thomas Hobart Rupp on March 27, 1937. He was raised in Cincinnati and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Tom married Karen Mortimer and together they made a home and raised their family in Okeana. Tom was a longtime member of Okeana United Methodist Church. He was employed for three decades as a mechanic for Kroger and also worked restoring cars at Vintage Auto Shop. He loved antique cars and enjoyed restoring them, a gift and passion he shared with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling and camping with his family, and teaching his grandchildren woodworking as well as mechanical skills. His grandchildren loved that he would stop whatever he was doing to listen to their ideas and projects they wanted to accomplish… and he would find a way to make them happen. They always had some project in the works or loved just sitting and listening to his stories.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife Karen (nee Mortimer) Rupp; his cherished son Keith Rupp and his family; his adoring daughter Ann (Tony) Kiefer and grandchildren Cody (Kaitlynn Crow) and Dakota; his dear brother Paul Hobart Rupp; and many precious friends and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Donald Harold Rupp, William Frederick Rupp, and Alice Jeannette Lahmer.
