Tammy Maxwell

Tammy Maxwell, age 55, passed away on the afternoon of October 22, 2025, at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by love and care. She was born on March 12, 1970, in Oxford, Ohio, to the late Homer and Mary (Thomas) Bland. Tammy was a kind, gentle soul whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend — the heart of her family and a source of light to those around her. Tammy found her greatest joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments: spending time outdoors, camping beneath the stars, exploring hiking trails, and tending to her gardens, where her love for nature bloomed in every flower, as well as reading a good book. She had a special place in her heart for her faithful companion, her dog Maggie, who brought her endless comfort and joy. Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Matt Maxwell; her cherished children, Christy Conrad and Derek (Sydney) Maxwell; her dear sisters, Sue Holmes and Debbie Halter; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Homer Bland and sister, Mittie Sawyers. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford, in accordance with Tammy’s wishes.
