Steve was born in Hamilton, Ohio to June (nee Ultser) and Edward Thiemann on August 7, 1956. He was a 1974 graduate of Taft High School and later married Alene Patrick in 1982. Steve worked as a Printer for Ohio Casualty for 22 years and ultimately retired from Hamilton Graphic. During that time he enjoyed playing softball and scoring high in the bowling league, earning a spot in the Ohio Casualty Bowling League Hall of Fame. He also stayed in close touch with his chums from high school as an active alumnus serving on the Reunion Committee. But more than anything, Steve was a devoted family man. His wife, children and grandchildren were the loves of his life.
He's the beloved husband of Alene (nee Patrick) Thiemann; devoted father of Stacy (Justin) Jarvis and Brent Thiemann; cherished grandfather of Savannah Jarvis, Ashleigh Jarvis, Lucy Jarvis and Brantley Jarvis; and dear brother of Edward (Joyce) Thiemann, Bob (Sheryl) Thiemann, Sharen (Mike) Caudill and Judy (Mike) O'Meara. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Sandy Ward and Karen (Jim) Sebbens, and his stepson Jeff Patrick. He is also survived by close friends Randy & Terry Trimble, Doug & Cheryl Dole, and a host of many other nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held for Steven at Paul R. Young Funeral Home (3950 Pleasant Ave. in Hamilton) on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 11:30 am until time of funeral service at 12:30 pm. Burial to immediately follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
Donations in Steve's name may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
