Stephen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lillian (nee Smith) and Arlon Rogers on December 11, 1946 and passed peacefully on September 3, 2025.
He is the beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Roth); devoted father of Renee (Justin) Hall and Stephanie (John) Schnieders; cherished grandfather of Lillianne Hall, Tristan Schnieders, Carter Schnieders, Zachary Hall and Makena Schnieders; dear sister of Teresa Rogers Behymer; and also loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Stephen honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a longtime, faithful employee of Sherwin Williams. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing horseshoes, and collecting books. He and Bonnie made many precious memories as they both loved to travel. His daughters will always remember him walking the beaches in search of unique and beautiful seashells. Stephen was a kind and gentle spirit who was easy going and loved to be with his family. He was a thoughtful and loving friend, remembered as one of the kindest souls that ever lived. He was also a longtime member of Journey Community Church (formerly St. Paul UCC).
A visitation for Stephen will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Journey Community Church (6997 Hamilton Ave.) from 10 am until time of funeral service at 12 pm. Donations in Stephen's memory may be made to Journey Community Church, the Dementia Society of America, or Queen City Hospice.
