Sally Cacaro Obituary

Sally Cacaro, 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Born on July 16, 1940, to James and Claire Teed, Sally lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service to others.

She was the beloved wife of David Cacaro, with whom she shared 67 years of devoted marriage built on love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Sally was a dedicated and loving mother to Cindy (Matt) Metz, Amy Morey, and Connie (John) Allen, and a loving foster mother to Michael “Jay” (Patty) Brady.

Sally’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Julie (Matt) Burke, David (Corbin) Metz, Christina (Jeff May) Chandler, Zach (Jess) Morey, Maria Morey, Mary (Luke) Dolan, Molly (Nick) Fulks, and Jonathan (Kathryn) Allen. She was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren—Madeline, Michael, Joey, Waylon, Mia, Khloe, Miles, William, Lucy, Daniel, Charlie, Jacob, Annie, and Olivia—each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

She was a devoted sister to Diane (Don) Lang and Peggy (Greg) Hermes, and Jim (Delinia) Teed and was preceded in death by her brother Jack Teed. She is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Formerly of Greenhills, Ohio, Sally was a devoted member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where her faith served as a guiding force throughout her life. She generously opened her home to lead Bible studies, sharing her love of scripture and fellowship with others. Sally also gave her time as a tutor with Cincinnati Public Schools, always eager to help others learn and grow.

Sally embraced life with warmth and joy in both the big and small moments. She loved to read and was exceptionally intelligent, always curious and eager to learn. She was a gifted writer who journaled often—especially about her faith—leaving behind words that reflected her deep spirituality and thoughtful nature. She found happiness in baking, cooking, sewing, and playing games—especially Scrabble, where her quick mind and love of words often gave her the winning edge. She had a wonderful sense of humor and especially delighted in laughing with—and at—her husband Dave, a reflection of the deep joy and companionship they shared.

In addition to her service, Sally was an avid square dancer and treasured the friendships and laughter it brought her.

Sally will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and steadfast devotion to her family and faith. Her legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and love—a legacy that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

“I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

— Isaiah 41:9–
