Paris Shelton

SHELTON Paris – Beloved husband of the late Rosella M. “Tootsie” (nee Mobley) – Devoted father of  Carol Shelton, Tommy (Kathy) Shelton, the late Gerry Shelton, Sue (late Ken Haley), Jimmy (Donna) Shelton, Mel (Judy) Shelton, the late Calvin Shelton, Debbie Shelton, Robert (Kim) Shelton, John (Linda) Shelton, and Nancy Shelton – Dear son of A.Y. and Gertrude (nee Farmer) Shelton – Grandfather of many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren – Brother of Reed, Chloe, Lula, and Rheba - passed away January 31, 2020 at the age of 97 - Residence Colerain Township.

Paris married the love of his life, Rosella Mobley and had eleven children.  He served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, 325th Glider Infantry during World War II from 1942 to 1946.  He was a Prisoner of War, received four Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts.  He was a proud Veteran and proudly served his country.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to the Asbury Hour, gardening and reading the Bible.  He was a faithful and dedicated servant at the Asbury Tabernacle and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

An 11 A.M. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave. (Mt. Healthy) - Friends may call Friday, February 7, from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. - Remembrances may be sent to the Asbury Tabernacle, 11 E. McMillan St., P.O. Box 19052, Cincinnati, OH 45219.
