Melinda Hobson

Melinda Jean Hobson, age 62, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. Melinda was born and raised in Hamilton. She was born on January 19, 1962 to Samuel and Betty Cassano.

She worked as a housekeeper at the InnTowne Suites for many years and bartended at the M&M. Melinda had a passion for making floral arrangements and crafts. She loved spending time with her family at Rentschler Park. She enjoyed yard sales, finding things at the Dollar Tree and most of all thrifting for Precious Moments. 

Melinda is survived by her husband, Bennie Hobson; daughter Michelle (Danny) Vierling; grandchildren Brian, Caitlyn, Alicia, Danny Jr., Adiel and Reina; great granddaughter FayeLynn Jean; brothers Sam (Tonya) Cassano, Donald Cassano and William Cassano; sisters Margaret Shearer and Barbara Cassano; her beloved dog, Pedro. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends Vince and Patti Crane and Eloy Barraza. 

Melinda was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Betty Cassano; daughter Tiffany Lynn Plowman; her previous husband and father of her children Mitchell Plowman; sister-in-law Donna Wilkinson and brother-in-law Virgil Shearer. 

Flowers are appreciated or a donation to Paul R. Young Funeral Home for her funeral expenses. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home- Hamilton 3950 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45015 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow. Interment at Millville Cemetery.
