Mary “Sue” (Donnelly) Lynch

Mary “Sue” (Donnelly) Lynch, 89, passed peacefully at her home in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday, May 10, 2024. Born on August 24, 1934, Sue was a beloved daughter to Daniel and Aileen (Schellegner) Donnelly. Known for her strength and welcoming hugs, Sue was a beacon of wisdom and encouragement to everyone she met. 

As the cherished matriarch of her family, Sue is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Arthur Lynch, her children Gregory “Burn” (Kelly) Coldewey, Kathleen (Tom) Estes Jr, Laura (Kerry) Hubbs and Daniel (Martina) Lynch, her grandchildren Camella (Christina) Engstrom, Kara Hubbs, Troy (Teal) Estes, Cassidy “Blue” Coldewey, Emma (Dylan Burton) Estes, DJ (Kyndall Trickett) Lynch, Taylor Estes, Nolan Lynch, Jameson Hubbs and Connie Sullivan, her great-grandchildren Theodore Burton and Graham Estes, her sister Barbara Anello and countless nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Aileen (Schellenger) Donnelly, her brother Michael Donnelly, her brother-in-law Bruno Anello and her son Paul (Melanie) Coldewey. 

Sue retired from Caracole in 2007, an organization she had great passion for and through which, she met many people who left an imprint on her life. Sue’s impeccable green thumb and joy for beautiful flowers will live on in many of our gardens. She also had love for all animals, always having her loyal German Shepherd by her side, she ensured all of her backyard critters had proper meals daily.

Sue took pride in being considered everyone’s granny, and always had an open chair at her dining table. Sue will, undoubtedly, be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She would want everyone to remember, “granny loves you”. 

Visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mount Healthy, Ohio 45231 on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4 PM - 6 PM. Service will begin there at 6 PM. Online condolences can be made at www.paulyounfuneralhome.com .
