Mary Ann (Bruns) Surface

Mary Ann Surface (nee Bruns), beloved wife of the late Ronald L. Surface. Devoted mother of Scott (Cathy) Surface, Chris (Teri) Surface, Patty (late Dan) Newman, Jeff (Donna) Surface, Greg (Roshell) Surface and the late Mary Lee Surface. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, including her late Caleb Surface. Great grandmother of 6. Dear sister of the late Jacquelin “Jackie” (late Ed) Kathman and brother Howard (late Connie) Bruns. Special friend of Cathy Moyer (caregiver). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mary Ann was a spunky, compassionate soul desiring always to help and serve others throughout her years of schooling, marriage/family, nursing career, retirement and convalescing. Her enduring relationship with God has been a source of strength and hope, even as she transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to her heavenly, eternal life with Jesus on April 12, 2022 at the age of 85.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 21, 2022 at St. Mary Church (111 E. High St., Oxford, OH). Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery (400 S. Locust St., Oxford). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Legacy at Liberty Ridge (7200 Heritagespring Dr., West Chester, OH 45069). Special online condolences may be expressed to the family at Ogle & Paul R.
