Martha “Marie”, age 83, of Finneytown passed away on June 15, 2021. She was born on May 9, 1938, the 9th of 12 children in Weirton, WV to the late, Thomas Woodrow and Mary Irene (nee Ribblet) Caldwell. On June 3, 1959, in Brilliant, OH, Marie married the love of her life David Johnson Sr., he survives her.
She was employed by the Marsh grocery store for 32 years at both the Fairfield and Springfield Twp. locations as a cashier.
Marie is also survived by her children, Diana Claridy and Daniel (Bev) Johnson; grandchildren, Mark Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Charles (Chante Hart) Claridy, David Claridy, Rachael Shierling, and Alicia Shierling; great grandchildren, Lilly, Markie, Chloe, Brianna, Christiana, Little Charles, Samara, Shantasia, and Audriana; siblings, Harry (Betty) Caldwell, Dorothy (Ray) Lahita, and Ruth Ann Jeffries; numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday June 21, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., 45231. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Burton officiating.
