DAVIS
Martha “Anne” age, 95, of Oxford passed away on August 23, 2021, at the Knolls of Oxford. She was born on February 22, 1926, in Covington, KY to the late David and Madeline Bryan.
Anne met her future husband John when they were neighbors in Covington. Eventually, they married on August 19, 1950. They were engaged citizens of the world, interested in learning about other places. They traveled to Egypt, Africa, Peru, the Amazon, Costa Rica, Ireland, Greenland, and Alaska, and many other countries. They shared a love of music, making stained glass, and they had many close friendships, starting a fun group called the 26-ers at the Knolls for those born in 1926. At its heyday, there were fourteen or fifteen participants. John passed away on February 27, 2020.
Anne graduated from Miami University in 1947, majoring in Piano. She performed, was an accompanist for many, and she also taught piano. She was also Miss Miami of 1947. She loved people and they loved her; she touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Anne leaves behind her devoted daughters and their husbands, Karen (John) Beall, Linda (Terry) Donovan, and Jane (Mark) Welch; much loved grandmother of Zane (Keli) Beall, Troy (Andrea) Beall, Jackson Welch, and Mason Welch; other family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her sister Adeline Moak.
