Mark Grochowski left us to join the angels (and his brother David) following a valiant battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Mark was born on April 11, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mary Theresa (nee Ponetta) and Thomas Grochowski. He is survived by his husband, Christopher Clyde, son Jason (Kim) Grochowski, sister Denise (Ed) Eichhorn, granddaughters Klaire and June Grochowski, sisters-in-law Bonnie Bowman and Sandra Williams, brother-in-law Barry James (Betty) Clyde, cousin Angie Costabile, nieces Amanda (Chris) Wetzel, Samantha Watson, Elizabeth Clyde, Samantha Williams, and Lea Sechrest, and nephews Jesse Williams and Robert Clyde.
Mark was a floral designer for many years and former flower shop owner (most recently Greenhills Floral). He was a big Bengals fan and was known for his sunny disposition, gentle heart and impressive, maybe only slightly excessive outdoor Halloween and Christmas decorations which gave great pleasure to friends in the neighborhood. Mark spread love everywhere he went, especially in the lives of his friends and family and will be deeply missed.
A memorial will be held at 9 AM on Thursday, September 12th at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue (Mount Healthy), Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Mass will follow at an as yet unspecified date at St. Vivian Church (7600 Winton Rd.) in Finneytown, with burial at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Pleasant Run, Ohio.
