Marjorie Thoene

Marjorie Thoene, peacefully passed away at the age of 98 on November 16, 2025 at her residence in Fairfield, OH. She was born on November 22, 1926 in Oak Park, Illinois to Wallace and Florence (Geist) Blood. Marjorie married her beloved husband, Erich Thoene, in 1958, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Erich passed away earlier this year. Marjorie leaves behind a heartfelt legacy, survived by her loving children, Barb Brayton and Deborah (Joseph) Traxler; six grandchildren Gregory Brayton, Rachel (Nickolas) Lommatzsch, Davey (Samantha) Brayton, Derek (Maria) Price, Lindsey (Caleb) Hurst, and Carly (Troy) Hildebrandt; and 13 great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by 2 nieces & 1 nephew. Preceded in death by her parents, her sister, the late Marilyn (the late Al) Gabiola, and 1 niece. She was very involved with her sorority, Kappa Delta, and the Fairfield Senior Center. Her first visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd from 3 to 6 PM at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45015. A second visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
