Louise Aileen Watkins (nee Bannister)

Louise A. Watkins departed this life on February 24, 2026, in Fairfield, OH, at the age of 96. She was born on October 14, 1929, in Oxford, OH to parents the late Robert Claude and Ardella Bannister. In 1950, Louise married Walter S. Watkins, and from that union, had four children. Louise, devoted to her family, was a loving and supportive mother. She enjoyed spending time gardening, loved to travel  and going to band and orchestra concerts, especially those in which her family performed. Left to cherish the memory of this beautiful soul are her daughters, Carolyn and Stephanie Watkins, son Walter E. (Kellisa) Watkins, grand-daughter Chatia Obeng, grandsons, Brandon, Kevin, & Jonathan Watkins, great-grandson Jaiden Obeng, nephews and a host of other relatives & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter S. Watkins, her sister Betty Johnson, her brothers Robert & Roger Bannister, and her son Edward (Dawn) Watkins. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 11 AM at Woodside Cemetery (Oxford, OH). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
