Lisa was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Marjorie (nee Collopy) and Henry Vaughn on Thursday September 21, 1967. She married her high school sweetheart on May 23, 1986 and they shared their lives together for 38 years. She is the beloved wife of Gregory Roberts; cherished sister of Connie (the late Gary) Sams and Cindy Meadows; and loving aunt of Sheryl, Angela, Christine and Brandon. She's the great aunt of Caitlin, Brittany, Andru, Hanna, Haley, Caleb, Bella, Adian, Jonah, May and Anthony.
Lisa loved going to the beach, collecting knick knacks and anything with animal prints, and had a passion for singing. She was a light in the lives of all who knew her and that light will be deeply missed, as illustrated by the following poem written by her husband.
Today was the day I was hoping would never come,
The strings of your life have finally come undone,
I tied them with knots I've tied them in bows,
I even wrapped them with Duct tape like you would do a hose,
It happened in the early hours of very sunny morning,
You crossed the rainbow bridge and I didn't get a warning,
I feel like the sun has been ripped from my sky,
But I have no one who's willing or able to tell me just why,
I know I made you a promise that I would carry on,
But looking down this road it seems so very long,
I will keep your memory close to my heart,
From now until the day we are no longer apart,
One day I to will take the rainbow bridge from this place where everything dies,
And I will again be with you and on golden wings we will fly.
~Gregory Roberts
