Larry Earl Wissel Jr departed this life in Cincinnati on Sunday, September 7, 2025, the day before his 71st birthday. A Navy Veteran and a skilled laborer, he turned building into a profession and a passion. Larry had a natural curiosity for technology and loved gaming. He leaves behind his mother Joann (née Grinkemeyer), sister Valerie, two children, and numerous nieces and nephews. From his first marriage to Shelia (née Baker), he shares a daughter, Megan Erin (Army Veteran) of the District of Columbia; and from his second marriage to Edith (née Butler), he shares a son, Larry James of Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry [Behymer] Sr (d. 2007; Navy Veteran), and brothers: Scott (d. 1993) and Adam (d. 2021). Memorial arrangements will be shared at a later date.
Donations may be made to AMVETS and the Hamilton County Veterans Service Commission (HCVSC) in honor of Larry's Navy service and the 250 years of United States military service of the Wissel, Behymer, and Grinkemeyer families as we approach America's semiquincentennial.
