Katherine "Katie" E. Johnson

Katherine E. (Katie) Johnson, age 41, passed away on January 10 in Downers Grove, Illinois.  Katie was born in Cincinnati on October 7, 1977.  She is survived by her beloved husband, John Rotterman, her parents, Evelyn and Mike Johnson of Oxford, OH, her brother, Robert (Melissa) Johnson and nieces, Rebecca and Carolyn, of Carmel, IN.  Katie is also survived by her aunts, Candace (Richard) Wiltshire of Loveland, OH, Marjorie (Jerry) Siegel, of Gahanna, OH, Sharon Jenkins of Dublin, OH, and Carolyn (Terry) Clayton of Powell, OH, her uncle, Charles (Melody) Johnson, of Pickerington, OH, great aunts, Audie King and Faye King, and great uncle Ben  Johnson, numerous cousins, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Andrea and Jerry Rotterman of Finneytown, OH,  friends, and pet dog, Piper.

Katie was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Agnes and Gene Parsons, and paternal grandparents, Margaret and Howard Johnson.

Katie was a 1996 graduate of Finneytown High School and a 2000 graduate of Miami University. She obtained graduate degrees from the U. of Michigan and the U. of Illinois at Chicago.  For the last five years, Katie has been employed as an occupational therapist most recently with Lincoln School and Conyers Learning Academy in Chicago.  She was a member of DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church.

A “Celebration of Life’ memorial service and luncheon will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, at St. Mary Church and Parish Center, 111 E. High St., Oxford, OH.
