Judith "Judy" Smalley Hill Obituary

Judith "Judy" Smalley Hill, 85, of Cincinnati passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2025, to begin her eternal life in Heaven. Judy was born on February 18, 1940, in Washington, Georgia and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1958 before continuing her education at Stephens College and the University of Georgia. Judy was a devoted wife to Alan Hill, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that included their daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Hershner and Laurie (Peter) Scannell, and their cherished grandchildren, Grant, Ryan, and Elizabeth. She is reunited with her parents, William and Emily Smalley, and her sister, Kathryn Smalley. She had a passion for travel and an appreciation for history that led her to explore her family genealogy. Her sewing talents were a gift she shared freely with family and friends, creating treasured pieces that will serve as lasting reminders of her care and creativity. Her strong Christian faith was a guiding force throughout her life, shaping the kindness, generosity and warmth she extended to those around her. Judy’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A small memorial service will be held at Norman Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery on Monday, March 24th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Research Institute (autism.org). Online condolences can be made at www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com .
