Sister Unger was a beloved schoolteacher at Zion Christian Academy (14 years) and Calvary Academy (2 years), using her quick wit, humor, ready smile, kindness, laughter and wisdom to instruct and influence her students.
One of her favorite passages from her favorite book: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2 Timothy 4:7).
Besides suffering the loss of her parents, Judy also suffered the loss of her loving husband of 65 years, Doyne R. Unger; her siblings, Mildred Pence, Robert Bowen, Susan Richey, Herbert Bowen, Jean Aaron, Shirley Adams; and an infant son, Thomas R. Unger.
