North College Hill -  Joyclynn “Joyce” Brockhuis nee Fessler. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Robert “Bob” Brockhuis. Devoted mother to David (Karen) Brockhuis and Cathy Brockhuis. Loving grandmother to Chad Webb, Katie (Michael) Jarvis, Scott Brockhuis, Chanda Mattcheck, and Chase Brockhuis. Cherished great-grandmother to Mariah Clemow, Marissa Clemow, Scotty Brockhuis, Sadie Jarvis, and Renn Brockhuis. Preceded in death by her parents, John & Florence Fessler; her brother, Donald Fessler; and her two sons, Douglas & Daniel Brockhuis. Joyce passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Proud graduate of Mt. Healthy High School. After raising four children and retiring from Sears, where she spent 25 years, she went to work at the Hamilton County Park District for another 20+ years before retiring in 2019. Many will remember her from The Mill Golf Course. Joyce was a lifelong North College Hill resident, and a 60 year active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish. She was an accomplished bowler and avid golfer. She was a genuinely good person and loved by many. Joyce will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 PM at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 4th at 11 AM at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1830 W. Galbraith Rd., North College Hill, OH 45239. Interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, The Hamilton County Park District, or to the Charity of Donor’s Choice.
