Jeanette E. Prell

On January 15, 2025, the Lord called back Jeanette E. Prell at the age of 96. Always putting others before herself, she was a guiding light setting an example of compassion and kindness to everyone she met. She was a daughter of the late John and Hilda McCauley of Norwood, Ohio. She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon F. Prell for 66 ½ years. Devoted mother to Daniel (Michele) Prell, Jo Ann (Bill) Kelsey, Sandra (Bud) White, David (Sandra) Prell, and former son in law, the late Randall W. Marx. Sister to John (Lynn) McCauley and the late Eleanor (the late Robert) Walston. Aunt to Greg (Kathy) Walston, Susan (Chris) Fay, the late Debbie (Rob) Stotzer, Kathy (Ken) Kirchmayer and Kathy’s daughter, Sydney. Aunt to Janet Kulka, Lynne Botts, Connie Douglas, M. Ricky Prell, Pat Brickweg, Mike Prell, Mark Prell, Joe Prell and Karen Prell. Aunt to Mary Ann, Joe, Diane and Tommy Berning. Step-Grandmother to Frank (Shannon) Kelsey, Timothy (Jennifer) Kelsey, Beth Kelsey, Suzanne White (Austin) Hall. Step-Great Grandmother to Nick, Morgan, Todd, Rachel, Tommy, Angela, Marie and Lily. Jeanette enjoyed holidays when the family gathered and baking her Mexican wedding cookies. In addition to being a wonderful mother, wife and friend, she worked as an administrative assistant to a hospital director. Please leave your fond memories of Jeanette in the comment boxes. Visitation is 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, followed by the service at 1:30 PM at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Burial follows at 2:30 at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
