Janet F. Higdon
Beloved daughter of the late Elmer and late Dorothy A. Higdon, sister to Deborah (Rich) Rust and Elmer Lee (Mikey) Higdon, aunt to Andrew R. White, peacefully passed away on May 13th, 2026, age 52, at her home in Batavia, Ohio.
She was born October 20, 1973 to the late Elmer and Dorothy in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Gernie S. and Vivian I. Willis, grandparents David Higdon and Pearl (nee Harmon) Foley, her uncle Everett Higdon and her aunts Katherine (nee Holbrook) Higdon, Betty J. Willis and Janet F. Cox (nee Willis). She is survived by her sister, brother, brother in-law, nephew, and many, many cousins.
Since Janet was young, she was loved by many. She made friends easily through her work at Bob Evans, Easter Seals, Wendy’s and at Newtonsville Methodist church. She had an infectious and loud laugh that was unmistakably warm and happy. She loved music of all kind, she loved animals of all kind, especially dogs and horses. She was no stranger to shopping around town. She would go with her Aunt Janet and we suspect they are together shopping in heaven! She was also a huge Cincinnati Reds fan and she will always be at the games in spirit cheering them on. Her family and friends miss her dearly.
Visitation will be on Tuesday May 19, 2026 from 5-7pm at the Paul R Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2026 at 11am at Paul R. Young Funeral home with burial procession to Arlington Memorial Gardens 2145 Compton Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
