James Nelson Plunkett

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, James Nelson Plunkett, faithful husband and father, passed away at age ninety-four. James earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and Christian Ministry from Minnesota Bible College, where he met his wife of 64 years, Betty Jean Huhnerkoch. Together James & Betty devoted their lives to full-time Christian service, pastoring churches in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio. James is survived by his five children, Mark (Nan), Paul (Pam), Mary Adams, Ruth Frederick (Jack) and Sarah Haring (Dan), 16 grandchildren and 29 great
grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, daughter-in-law Pam Plunkett and son-in-law Timothy Adams.

Visitation and memorial service will be held at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, May 18th, with the visitation beginning at 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that online donations be sent to Mt.
