James Mathews Baer

James Mathews Baer passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Majestic Care of Fairfield. Jim was born on November 2, 1957, in Oxford, Ohio to Carlos Willard and Marjory Ellen (Mathews) Baer, who have preceded him in death.

Jim lived most of his life in Oxford, a town he dearly loved. He was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church and attended Young Life in high school. In later years he became a client of PLAN of Southwest Ohio, who actively supported him and enriched his life. He loved a party and had many friends at PLAN. He loved to paint landscapes filled with vibrant colors. He also enjoyed being in nature and would spend as much time as possible sitting outside. Jim is survived by his siblings John Baer, David Baer, Barbara Baer Herrick, and Elizabeth Baer-Broestl.
