Jacqueline "Jackie" Sue Engelhard

Jacqueline Sue Engelhard, age 89 of Oxford, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, October 02, 2023 at the Knolls of Oxford. Jackie was born June 13, 1934 in Latonia, Kentucky, the daughter of Wellman and Margaret (nee: Fleming) Carson. After high school, Jackie served her country proudly in the United States Air Force. During her time in the Air Force, Jackie met and married her husband, Donald Engelhard. She retired from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she worked as a secretary. Following her retirement from Miami, she went to work as an office manager for almost 15 years at the Oxford Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Oxford, where she was a part of the choir, also working with their Food Bank and was in the Lady's Society. She was also active in St. Vincent de Paul. In her spare time, she loved to read and watch birds. She enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines, and was a lover of ballet and orchestra. 

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Engelhard, daughter Michelle Engelhard Speh, and sister Bobbi Givens. She leaves behind her children Eric Engelhard, Peter (Alaina) Engelhard, Stephen Engelhard, and Joel (Melissa) Engelhard; brother Raleigh Carson; sister Margaret Leitzenmeyer; brother-in-law Ed Givens; her grandchildren Caleb Engelhard (39), Betsy Speh-McCall (38), Jennifer Cassidy (38), Chloe Engelhard (37), Jessica Hessler (36), Victoria Wise (34), Peter Engelhard Jr (32), Mariah Engelhard (29), Sydney Engelhard (27), Kevin Engelhard (25), Tyler Engelhard (22), Nicholas Engelhard (19); her Great Grandchildren, Azlin Engelhard (22), Elijah Engelhard (20), Austin Speh-McCall (17), Carson Walden (14), Lexi Dorgan (14), Joezee Engelhard (12), Sophia Dorgan (12), Elias Dorgan (10), Ceaira Engelhard (9), Lydia Cassidy (8), Gavin McCall (8), Rose McCall (2m); her Great-GreatGrandchildren  Kiara Bean (3), Colson Farmer (2), Elora Farmer (2m) , as well as many other family members and friends. 

The family will receive friends Friday, October 06, 2023 from 10 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am all at St. Mary Catholic Church in Oxford, Ohio with Father Jeff Silver officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Oxford, Ohio.
