Iva “Bug” Simpson

Iva “Bug” Simpson went to her heavenly home on the evening of May 16, 2026. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231 from 11 AM until the time of the funeral at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Bug was one of a kind. She loved her family and never had a cross word to say about anyone. Being a devout Christian, she loved her church family and loved to share her special gift of song by singing at various nursing homes. She took pride in taking care of her precious dog, Bandit and was an avid collector of rocks, often called rock hounding. She was the devoted wife of the late Brown Lee “Brownie” Simpson for 55 years; loving mother of Deborah Streets (Allen), Paula Ewell (Reggie), and Terry Simpson; cherished grandmother of Brian Hensley (Nancy), Scott Hensley (Brittany), Mark Streets, Brad Streets, Bryan Streets (Lynne), Anthony Ewell (Liz), Renee Ewell and Katherine Gambrel; loving sister of the late Howard Hall (Lori), the late Clarence Hall (Jean), Harold Hall (Brenda), the late Joelene DeRossett (the late Jr.), Archie Saylor (the late Johnnie B.), the late Wanda Houston (Ed), the late Jessie Thelma Hall and the late Nell Cassidy (the late Harm). Iva is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Michael J.
