Hobert Simpson Obituary

Hobert G. Simpson, age 78 of Oxford, Ohio passed away Wednesday January 19, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on February 3, 1943 in Redbird, Kentucky.  He was preceded in death by his parents Woodson and Cora (Roark) Simpson; his brother Woody Simpson; his sisters Alma Jean Liford, Lottie McGeorge and Brenda Sue Gentry; and his son Hobert G. Simpson, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Becky (Pelfrey) Simpson; his sisters Mary Watts, Rose Simpson, Linda Nevels, Sheila Disney and Ellen Carter; his children Sherry Johnson (Matt Johnson), Sondra Moore, Sharon Rader (Rodney Walters), Shannon Simpson and Shane Simpson (Michelle Olsen); his grandchildren Bryce (Tara) Simpson, Blake Simpson, Corey Rader, Shandon Simpson and Ky Simpson; his great granddaughter Madison Rader; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a man who dedicated his life to his family.  His love for his family was immeasurable.  He was a quiet man but you could feel his steadfastness if you were in his presence.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with the ones he loved.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by all.  

Hobert wished to be cremated so there will be no funeral services.  The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
