Henry Jerald Avery

Henry J. Avery, age 77 of Oxford, Ohio passed away peacefully September 28, 2022.  Henry was born April 9, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Henry and Lois (Coldiron) Avery.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant grandson James Shelley, brother Melvin Avery, and sister Donna Paxton.  He is survived by his daughter Rachel (David) Shelley, grandchildren Pamela and Jacob Shelley, sisters Joyce (Glen) Henning and Jackie Humphry, several nieces and nephews, family members, and many friends in Oxford; especially at the library.  He attended Dixon Israel High School, Preble County, retired from Square D, and loved to visit with anyone that had time to talk.  

A visitation for Henry will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
