Gerard Donald Riendeau

Gerard Donald Riendeau passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 62, in Hamilton, Ohio surrounded by his family. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courageous spirit in facing life challenges with grace. Despite the pain, Gerard was a warrior and stayed strong until the end. 

Gerard attended Western Michigan University where he found his passion in Aviation Engineering. He then turned that into a lucrative long career at both Ford Motor Companies and General Electric. 

He met the love of his life, Lisa (nee Mortier) Riendeau, while country line dancing. It was love at first sight for Gerard and they’ve tackled life together every step of the way since. Together, they had four children, Chelsea (Nicklaus) Lombardi, Victoria (Jack) Riendeau, Raquel Riendeau, and JD Riendeau.

He was the loving son of Grace Mary (nee Palazzolo) Riendeau and the late Eugene Charles Riendeau; a dear brother to Susan (Bill) Kirouac, Cynthia Campbell, Elizabeth (Bill) Bueche, and brother-in-law of Annmarie Littke and Keith (Kimberley) Mortier and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. 

His love for playing guitar, the game of horseshoes, airplanes, his family & the great outdoors were known to all. 

Gerard will be honored with a visitation held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 3-7 pm at Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike Oxford, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 111 E. High Street Oxford, Ohio.
