Fred Montgomery "Monte" Hackney

Fred Montgomery "Monte" Hackney, age 65, of Oxford, Ohio, passed away on April 15, 2025. He was born on January 24, 1960, in Oxford, Ohio, to the late Fred Delano and Linda Jane (Hardy) Hackney. Monte was a graduate of Union County High School and a devoted member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son, Caleb (Hannah) Hackney; grandchildren Boone, Callie, and Belle. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Hackney; sister, Marsha Laney; and four nieces and nephews, along with a wide circle of family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Paul R Young Funeral Home, located at 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio.
