Frances E. (Moorman) Rue, 93, our loving and cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 9,2024. Born on July 22, 1931, in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the third of four children of Francis (Frank) and Helen (Framme) Moorman. Frances graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in home economics and lived in Hamilton, Ohio, for more than 50 years. There, she was a devoted member of St. Ann Parish. In the last three years of her life, Frances resided in Maineville, Ohio, with her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Leo Lindley. They lovingly cared for her, offering unwavering support, a warm home, and countless precious moments, especially with her great-grandchildren: Elouise Pence, Delilah Pence, and Oliver Pence. Frances was a woman of deep faith and steadfast devotion to her Catholic beliefs and family. Her life was enriched by her many passions, including travel, where she delighted in collecting keepsakes to share, and her love of bridge. A talented seamstress, she crafted costumes for Hamilton dance studio recitals, and as a gifted vocalist, she sang with the Harmonettes and her church choir for many years. She treasured organizing family reunions, playing Scrabble and word games with her children, and maintaining meticulous records of every book she read. An enthusiastic sports fan, Frances rooted for the Reds, the Bengals, the UK Wildcats, and Notre Dame. She found joy in baking Christmas cookies for her children's teachers, assisting with homework, and supporting Little League games as the official scorekeeper. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, and her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward M. Rue. She is survived by her six children: Rebecca Park (Mickey), David Rue, Steven Rue (Debbie), Kevin Rue (Laura), Barbara Lindley (Leo), and Mary Rue. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Amber Rue, Ashley Oswald (Alex), Ellen Fulmer (Chris), Amanda Cahill (Brandyn), Allison White (Matt), Brian Rue (Lauren), Jacob Lindley, and Shannon Pence (Justin), along with thirteen great-grandchildren who will carry her legacy forward. In addition to her family life, Frances enjoyed a fulfilling career teaching home economics and science to teenage girls at the Daytime Center affiliated with the City of Hamilton Schools. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Church, 3028 Pleasant Ave., Hamilton, OH 45015, on December 16th at 10 AM. Visitation will precede the service at the church starting at 9 AM, followed by a brief grave side service at St. Mary Cemetery (Hamilton,OH). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church to support the music ministry, which Frances loved dearly. Frances's life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith, leaving a lasting legacy for all who knew her. Online condolences can be made at www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com . Paul R.
