Ferd was first and foremost a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known by many names to friends and family including Pops, Pawpaw, Ferdinand the Bull, and Old Man. Ferd worked for over thirty years as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Ford Development. He loved traveling and was especially fond of the mountains. He spent time in the Adirondacks, had a second home in the Smoky Mountains, and also enjoyed the shores of Mackinaw. He was always happy to be outside whether it was hunting with his sons, fishing, riding on the ATVs, or playing horseshoes and cornhole. When at home in Cincinnati, he spent his Thursdays at the Green Township Senior Center playing Poker. He also enjoyed Yahtzee, gardening with Marilyn, working and building with his hands, and watching old episodes of Gunsmoke and Blue Bloods He also loved his dogs, especially Taffy and Buddy, whom he brought home with him from Tennessee. Ferd especially loved Christmas and all the family traditions. His fondness for singing and dancing was entertaining to all but perhaps will be missed by few. Ferd was truly one of a kind. He was a good and kindhearted man who will be deeply missed.
