With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Evelyn H. Kettner, who peacefully passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 92. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 22,1932 to parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Holtgrewe. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Val Kettner for 32 years. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann (Colin) Smith (nee Kettner) and Theresa (Michael) Dehner (nee Kettner) and her grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Jacob L. Dehner, Courtney Lynn Smith, her brother, Norb (Jane) Holtgrewe and sister in law, Shirley Holtgrewe. She was preceded in death by her siblings, the late Howard Holtgrewe, the late Rita (Bill) Uphus, the late Will Holtgrewe, the late Fr. Don Holtgrewe, the late Esther (Albert) Eichhorn, and the late Laverne (Hubert) Schoenung. Also survived by numerous other family members and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her fun-loving laugh and her great devotion to prayer. Dedicated member of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church for more than 30 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th from 6 PM to 8 PM at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 2014 Springdale Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45231.
