Edwin Richard Wichman, Jr.

EDWIN RICHARD WICHMAN, JR. - Born November 26, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky and passed December 27, 2021 into the care of his Savior. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Brown) Wichman of 51 years; devoted father of Karen (Michael) Barker, Robin (Michael) Gaston, Edwin (Shannon) Wichman, III, and Jason Wichman; doting grandfather of Amber Hodgetts, Adam Wichman, Ashlee Wichman, Paris Wichman, Christopher Wichman, Elijah Wichman and Marlowe Gaston; dear brother of Virginia Veselovec, Kathy Nightingale and Veronica Wichman-Wineka; preceded in death by and reunited with his parents Vera (nee Montag) and Edwin Richard Wichman, Sr. and his brothers Wilbur “Bob” Ochs and Lawrence Ochs. 

Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Vietnam. He also continued service to his country as a United States Postal Worker. He was a Bible scholar who spent years studying the Word of God and contemplating the joys of eternity. Ed was blessed musically, playing the guitar and piano; he loved to sing and enjoyed all different genres of music. He spent his leisure time working outside doing gardening and yardwork. More than anything, he was a proud grandfather and loved showering his seven grandchildren with love and attention.

Ed will be deeply missed by all those who know and love him. Please consider a donation in his name to City Gospel Mission or Matthew 25 Ministries. Services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
