With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Suzonne (Sue) Niemeyer, who left this world on February 6, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 96. Born on August 4, 1928, in Shelbyville, IN, Sue lived a life defined by kindness, unconditional love, and an unwavering compassion for both people and animals.
She was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Benjamin (Frank) and Vivian (nie Messmore) Deitzer. Brother Benjamin (Gladys) Deitzer. And the love of her life, Robert Niemeyer.
Sue is survived by her loving family. Her daughters Barbara (Roger) Pennington and Nancy Hilton, beloved grandson Jeremy (Andrea) Hilton, granddaughter Tasmia Simpson, great grandchildren Tira and Raiden Padit.
She is also survived by her nephew Bill (Rosemary) Deitzer, great nephew Steve (Tami) Deitzer, great niece Diane (Jim) Kloenne and great -great nieces and nephews: Melissa (Michael) Hargis, Lauren Deitzer, Dan, Joe & Tom Kloenne. GreatX3 nephew Roy Hargis.
Great nephew Robert (Kristie) Pelzel, Donald Pelzel and great niece Peggy Pelzel. Great great niece Katie (Max) Walters, great great nephew Tyler and greatX3 nephew Teddy Walters.
Nephew Bill (Lynn) Niemeyer and Kurt (Laura) Niemeyer, Great nieces Sara (Kevin) James and Anna (David) Query, and great great nieces Joanna and Julia James and great great nephew Jonathan James.
She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church for 86 years. Barry Webb, lay pastor/prayer partner to Sue, has been a dearly loved friend for many years.
Sue was one of the last members of Tu Phi Sorority from her days at Western Hills High School. The sorority met monthly to plan charity work and maintained their friendships throughout the years.
She resided at Twin Towers Senior Living, Specialized Care, on Hamilton Avenue. There are so many nurses, aides, activity personnel, volunteers, and residents that made her stay so much better. She was loved by all.
Though she is no longer with us, Sue’s legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at her favorite local restaurant, LaRosa’s (Finneytown), located 891 W. Galbraith Rd. 45231, from 11-1, to honor and celebrate Sue’s life.
