She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and other family members & dear friends. Dona was preceded in death by her parents Monie and Lonnie, her daughter Kathy, her grandson Andrew, and many dear siblings.
Those who knew Dona remember her fondly for her love of iced mocha coffee drinks and her ability to find a good bargain. She enjoyed shopping, playing games on the computer, and didn't shy away from a little healthy competition. Dona loved to travel and especially loved to go to the beach. Whether it was a family vacation or one of her "Sister Trips," the beach was always a happy place for her. More than anything, she loved her George, children and especially loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a bright and shining light for George and the entire family. Dona will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy from 11 am until time of funeral service at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Burial at Crown Hill to immediately follow.
