Don W. Garnett

Don was born in Oxford, Ohio on February 18, 1959 to Marie (nee Derickson) and Carl Garnett. He passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024 at Woodland Country Manor in Somerville. He is the beloved brother of Becki (Greg) Smith and Cassie (Mike) McCartney; cherished uncle of Anna Smith, Katy Smith, Austin (Stephanie) Cousino, Allyson Cousino, Lauren (Phil) Sebben and children Evelyn and Lily, Jonathon (Bryanna) McCartney and children Levi and Naomi. 

Don received his education in the Talawanda School District and graduated from Fair Acres School in Hamilton. He was a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan who enjoyed going to the Butler County Fair and frequenting the weekly Saturday Farmer's Market in Oxford with his dad. Don was a member of Disciples Christian Church. He really enjoyed music and laughter, but especially liked to shower his love on family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Woodland Country Manor who loved Don and provided him with great care over the years. 

A visitation for Don will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 11 am until the time of service at 12 pm. Donations in Don's name can be made to Woodland Country Manor "Staff Appreciation" at 4166 Somerville Rd, Somerville, OH 45064 or Butler County Developmental Disabilities - Therapeutic Rec. 282 N. Fair Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011.
