Deborah Hesser

Deborah Hesser, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 at Hospice of Hamilton, after a 4 year battle with cancer. She was born on September 22, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas and Phyllis Sparks. She was the second of four children and was, of course, Dad's favorite because she was the only girl. Debbie graduated from Western Hills High School in 1969. She met Jerry in 1970 and they married in 1972. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. 

Debbie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Hesser; daughter Kimberly Burchett of Jacksonville Florida and Kelly (Rick) Dreiling of Parrish, Florida; grandchildren Ben Burchett IV of Atlanta, Georgia, Lauren Burchett of Jacksonville, Florida, sister-in-law Ellen Sparks, brother, Mark (Carol) Sparks, Mike (Lynn) Sparks, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her. and many extended relatives and friends. 

Some of Debbie's favorite things are the color purple, a good UDF Turtle Sundae, the musical groups Chicago and The Beatles, the Harry Potter series, and her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved the decorations. She was described as trustworthy, loyal ,caring, giving, big hearted, loving and kind. Trips to Florida and spending time with her family were the most important things in Debbie's life and she will be dearly missed by those who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Thomas Sparks.

The family will receive friends at Paul R. Young Funeral Home - Mount Healthy, on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 from 10:00 am  -  12:00 noon.  Funeral services will be at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, Mount Healthy on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati
