David Lee Wells, 76, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
David, a beloved son of Norman and Mabel Wells, was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Starting at an early age, David spent years in ministry, offering guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence to those navigating life’s challenges. After college graduation, David’s passion for serving others and his family continued. Later, as a business owner, David continued to serve his community by leading with integrity, generosity, and a commitment to helping others. David touched countless lives with his compassion and selflessness.
At the center of David’s life was his deep Christian faith which shaped how he lived, how he loved, and how he served others—with humility, compassion, and grace. Whether through quiet encouragement, a listening ear, or a well-timed joke, David reflected Christ’s love in all he did.
He will be remembered most for his unwavering devotion to his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Denton) Wells, and the joy he took in being a father and grandfather. His kindness, witty sense of humor, and love of music brought light to every room he entered, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
David is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Denton); his sons David Wells II, Eric (Yanira) Wells, and Chad (Jessica) Wells; and his beloved grandchildren: Erin Wells, Cy Snider, Grace Wells, Jacob Wells, Alex Wells, Addison Wells, and Isa Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mabel Wells, and his brother, Norman Wells, Jr.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Central Baptist Church located at 7645 Winton Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45224. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Central Baptist Church and Academy which played a meaningful role in David’s life.
