David Michael Bezesky passed away unexpectedly February 1st, 2020. Dave was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. He was born November 11th, 1960 to John “Mike” and Shirley Bezesky in Detroit, Michigan. In his youth, he loved playing football, and attended Manistee Catholic School. He often spoke of how taking calculus in high school changed the way he looked at the world and inspired him to become the first in his family to attend college. Fueled by his intellect and persistence to rise above his circumstance, Dave graduated with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Michigan Tech University. Throughout most and to the end of his career, he was an electrical engineer for Siemens Energy and Automation in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dave enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing, fishing, hunting pheasant, training dogs for hunting and field trials, and making wine. He had hopes of a long, well-deserved retirement and some quality time to spend with the ones he loved.
Dave leaves behind his devoted wife of 31 years, Tracy Bezesky, daughter Elizabeth Bezesky (age 20), father John “Mike” Bezesky, mother Shirley Bezesky, sister Michelle Wroble, mother-in-law Dorothy Merchant, and mentor and friend Kreso Mikulic. He is proceeded in death by his grandfather Acer Bezesky, brothers Kenneth and Charles Bezesky, grandmother-in-law Alvina “Dolly” Hillestad, and father in-law Dennis Merchant.
A visitation will be held in Oxford, Ohio, at Ogle Paul Young Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2020, from 6 to 8pm.
A visitation will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 8380 5th Street, Onekama, Michigan 49675 on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
