Danny L. Hershner, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of May 5, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on June 22, 1939, in Camden-on-Gauley, West Virginia. Danny was the cherished son of the late Reginald "Penny" Beiser and Ruth Elizabeth (Ramsey) Hershner. Danny proudly served in the United States Air Force and later dedicated many years of service to the Hamilton City School District, from which he eventually retired. He was a man of his word, embodying faith and devotion throughout his life. His family was everything to him, and the love he shared with them is a testament to his kind and caring nature. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Ellen (Van Nortwick) Hershner; children, Linda (John) Sillett, Mark (Diane) Hershner, and Becca (Casey) Southard; grandchildren, Jeremy, Sam, Ben, Levi, and Reagan; as well as his great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Jensen. He is also survived by his siblings, Donald, David, and Darell. Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation to honor his life will be held at Tri-County Baptist Church, located at 8366 Princeton Glendale Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. He will then be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
