Cyntheia (Cyndi) Sue Swegman, passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 16, 2025. Her death was sudden and unexpected, shocking friends and family alike to the core. She was born June 4th, 1975 in Cincinnati Ohio. Cyndi was the youngest of 3 children.
Cyndi graduated from North College Hill High School in 1994. Shortly after, she started her career at Fifth Third Bank. She would go on to work for Fifth Third for the rest of her life, dedicating 26 years to the financial institution.
Cyndi was a beautiful, funny, and quick-witted soul, who, as everyone knows, also had somewhat of a short fuse. She was so full of life, she liked to plan or attend any party or get together. She spent her younger years surrounded by good friends and great laughs.
In November of 1998, she gave birth to her first and only child, Mack. She was strong, independent, and an amazing single mother who would do and give anything for her child.
Cyndi loved a good pair of gym shoes. She was always seen with some pair of Nike gym shoes on. Despite the occasion, she never wore anything else. She also loved Tinkerbell. Cyndi was obsessed. From decals on her car, to her phone case, to wanting a tattoo, everything was always Tinkerbell.
Music was a huge part of Cyndi’s life. She would sing out loud unashamed of whether she was on key or not. She loved 90s and early 2000s R&B, some notable artist she loved included Bell Biv DeVoe and Boys II Men.
In recent years Cyndi has taken up listening to audiobooks. It was rare to catch her not listening to one. Whether that was in the car or just to fall asleep. She would become so animated and want to tell somone about something dramatic or funny happening in the book she was currently listening to.
Above all else, though, Cyndi was an ally. She was an unstoppable force when it came to standing for what she believed is right. She has spent many years becoming educated and asking questions about the LGBTQ+ community and doing her best to understand. Though sometimes she fell for what people call “Corporate pride” she only did it to support some of her family, and most importantly her child. Cyndi would go out of her way to attend Cincinnati Pride, she helped man the Fifth Third booth many times. She was loving and understanding to all.
Cyndi is preceded in death by her mother Leslie Ann Swegman.
She is survived by her child Mack; Her father Harry; Her sisters Mandy, Angie, Dorthy, and Mary; Her nieces Megan, Lynnie, Mariah, Ally, and Christina; her nephews Ryan, Miles, Joe, and Mike. And many, many more.
Cyndi will be greatly missed. She was an amazing mother, daughter, friend, and over all person. The world lost a wonderful light that can never be replaced.
The world was a much better place with her in it.
Thoughts of Cyndi will always linger in our hearts and minds.
