Cathy Ann Jung

Cathy is the beloved wife of Robert Jung, married 1987; devoted mother of Abigail (Joseph) Wells, Alexander Jung, Mathias (Emma) Jung and Robert Jung, Jr.; cherished Memaw to Louise Wells, Noah Jung, Hudson Jung, Magdalena Wells, Archie Jung, Joseph Wells, Jr., and Cooper Jung; treasured daughter of Ann (nee Rieder) Gerbus and the late Walter Gerbus; loving sister of David (Barb) Gerbus, the late Paul (Connie) Gerbus, Walt (Donna) Gerbus, Alan (Mary) Gerbus, Diane (Tom) Glover and Kevin (Valerie) Gerbus; dear sister-in-law of Edward (Terri) Jung and Vicki (Eugene) Reilly and daughter-in-law of the late Magdalena and Mathias Jung. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Cathy was deeply devoted to her family as a thoughtful daughter, caring sister, kind wife, adventurous mother, and loving grandmother (Memaw), cherishing every moment with her 7 grandkids. She worked for 37 years in the family business, Homes by Gerbus & Gerbus Remodeling, as the Chief Financial Officer alongside her siblings. She enjoyed family vacations at the beach, walks with Rob, going to shows with her mom, regularly helping in the classroom where her children teach, but most of all simply being a mom and Memaw. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind eyes. Cathy had a way of making everyone feel better, be better, and do better. She was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew Church in Finneytown and was actively involved in fundraising as Head of Baskets for Kolping’s Schutzenfest and St. Bartholomew Parish Festival. Cathy had an eye for making the best baskets in town.

A visitation will be held for Cathy on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 at the Kolping Haus Royal Hall (10235 West Mill Road) from 4PM until 7PM. Kolping Society prayers to commence at 6:45PM

Mass of Christian burial will be held the following day, Thursday, June 4th, 2026 at St. Bartholomew Church (9375 Winton Rd) at 10 am.
