Carolyn Slone of Oxford, Ohio passed away on November 13th, 2022 at home with her loving family.
Carol was born September 8th, 1946 in Hazard, Kentucky to Joseph and Linda (Kilburn) Farler.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ted Slone; 2 sons Bradley Slone (Gina Gapinski-Richter) and Ryan (Samantha) Slone; two grandsons, Cody Slone and Mason Slone; one brother Bill (Francis) Farler; three sisters-in-law, Mary Smith (Don Ingram), Nannie Faye Farler, and Debbie (Rick) Sayers, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Frank, Paul (Louise), Clay (Velta), Louie, Bobby, Cash, and Larry, Nola (John) Numberg, Liza (Lee) Numberg, Rose (Vernon) Burns, Sarah Collier, Fay; and brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed (Ida) Slone, Bob (Freda) Slone, Carrie (Doc) Terrelle, Ella Mae (Jack) Messer, Emma Jean (Frank), Stella (Leonard) Coots, and Martha (Thermal) Cody.
Carol was a longtime member of Stahlheber Baptist Church. She worked for Miami University, retiring after 32 years. Carol was loved for her honesty, fun personality, being a beautiful person, and of course her Avon “Candid” fragrance, and her famous bubblegum pink fingernails. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Rick Witt being held at 1:00 p.m. with all services being held at Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio 45056. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030 is in charge of arrangements.
