Carmen Izquierdo Morrison, aged 81, passed away on the evening of July 29, 2025, at Kettering Health Hamilton. She was born on July 25, 1944, in Rota, Spain, to the late Joseph and Carmen (Rico) Izquierdo, Carmen was a remarkable woman whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew her. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Carmen poured her heart and soul into her family. She owned and operated four salons, dedicating 50 years as a hairstylist before retiring. Known for her selflessness and strength, she inspired those around her with her unwavering commitment to her family and her faith in God. Carmen embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with deep love, forming unbreakable bonds with her sons and adoring her grandchildren. Her generous spirit and kindness touched many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Carmen is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Lawrence Wayne Morrison; two beloved sons, Lawrence Wayne (Kelly) Morrison II and Joseph Michael Morrison (significant other Mandy Benamati); and her cherished grandchildren, Maximus, Cameron, Abigail, Victoria, and Tyler. Carmen is also survived by her cousin, Josefa Miller, and her faithful dog, Lucky. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister. Private services are in the care of Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford, Ohio. Carmen’s warmth, strength, and spirit will be deeply missed, but her love will always remain in our hearts.
