Bobbie Carol Rogers went home to be with Jesus, Our Lord and Savior on April 12, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family in her last moments. She was proceeded by her father Cecil Smith and her beloved baby boy John Cecil Rogers.
Bobbie, endearingly nic named Sissy by her loving little sister, was born August 27, 1969 in Cincinnati Ohio.
Sissy's heart and soul was always devoted to her family, and her unwavering strength and resilience as a single working mother was truly inspirational to those around her. She had a beautiful vibrant spirit, filled with witt and humor and it will forever resonate in the hearts and memories of everyone blessed enough to have known her.
Sissy found joy in creating lasting memories with her children and later in life with her grandchildren, often taking them on a variety of trips and outings, such as the Zoo, Aquarium, Coney Island, The Circus, Americana, The Great Smokey Mountains, Disney World, Camping, Cruise ships and the Ocean, only to name a few.
Sissy also loved traditional family get togethers and holiday time and vacationing with family and extended family and friends growing up throughout her childhood, youth and adult life as well. She was always charismatic and fun to be around, she was the life of every party!
She had a love for animals that was evident! Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits. You name it, she loved it! She had affection for all creatures. She especially loved the beauty and majestical grace displayed by seahorses during those said visits to the aquarium, they held a special place in her heart, but so did mythical creatures too, such as Unicorns! She loved Unicorns so much that she had quite an impressive nic-nac collection of them.
Bobbie's musical soul thrived on gospel and country music, a lifelong passion that connected her to her dad in addition to the heartfelt stories of all her beloved artists. Sissy sang beautifully in the lead church choir every Sunday morning in her youth, her beautiful jubilant soprano voice still echoes in the memories of those who love her. She was blessed to make a sound track of gospel music with her dad and older brother in their youths and it is still treasured to this day.
Christmas was another season that always brought Sissy immense happiness and joy. She treasured the moments spent with her children and grandchildren, marveling at the twinkling lights and the Christmas joy they brought to her children and grandchildren's faces- a sight that filled her with warmth and tradition.
Bobbie is immensely loved by her family and friends and she is going to be greatly missed.
