Bettie Jo Bricka – Beloved Wife of the late Robert Bricka for 58 years; loving mother of Diane (Steve Hays) Bricka and Duane (Robin) Bricka; cherished Grandmother of Rachel (Dana) Clendenin, Craig (Tiffany Wiltshire) Mahaney, Brandon Bricka, Cara (Andrew) Burlison and Nathan (Kellie) Reeves; dear Great-Grandmother of 10 – Passed away April 5, 2020 at the age of 89.
Bettie was an active and devoted person. She was a scout mom and served as both a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother. Bettie loved God and her church. She was an active member of White Oak Christian Church since 1963, serving others through the women’s groups and as a youth group leader with her husband. Bettie also was a gifted singer, served in the church choir and as a member of the White Oak Trio, singing at various church and community functions. She and Bob loved to travel and flew to many destinations in the U.S. She retired from the Northwest Local School District where she held multiple positions of increasing responsibility throughout her career. Upon retirement, Bettie volunteered at Providence Hospital. She attended as many music concerts and sporting activities of each of her children and grandchildren as possible. Each of her life experiences brought her great joy and satisfaction. Bettie will be missed by everyone who knew her.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Mercy Health - West Park for their kind care and friendship for the past several years.
Funeral services will be held privately. Interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to the White Oak Christian Church: Cannonball, 3675 Blue Rock Road, Cincinnati OH 45247.
