Berlin Cain, Jr. Obituary

Berlin Cain, Jr.

Kissimmee, FL – Berlin Cain, Jr. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis Cain (nee Flory) for 65 years. Faithful husband, devoted father of Rebecca (the late Gary) Randolph, Timothy Cain, and the late Randy (Susan) Cain. Cherished grandfather of Joshua (Mariah), Jacob (Jennifer), Jonathan (Melissa), and Abigail (Michael). Loving great-grandfather of Wyatt, Ella, Milo and Gwendolyn. Dear brother of Dennis (Vickie) Cain and ten brothers and sisters. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Berlin Jr. was celebrated home on October 29, 2020 surrounded by loving family at the age of 90. Member of Dayspring Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, Berlin lived his life for the glory of God, never looking back. He was a father and friend to many who give him credit for their walk with Christ today.  He walked his talk in every way. He and his wife were wholly devoted to meeting spiritual hunger, opening their home to anyone in need of a family or friend. The  missionary work they did in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest and in Haiti have had a lasting eternal effect. Together they were responsible for the launch of missionary and pastoral careers as well as the betterment of countless impoverished youth and abandoned single mothers. For forty years they cultivated the Helping Hand Sponsorship Program building a school, church and developing locations along the Amazon River basin. Berlin was also builder, craftsman, elder, student of life and favored neighborhood dad and grandpa dedicated to every child who sought his attention. He overcame much and never forgot what it was like to grow up in orphaned conditions. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th from 11:30 AM until time of the Memorial Celebration Service at 12:30 PM at Dayspring Church, 1060 Smiley Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45240. Interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the newly formed Berlin and Phyllis Cain Foundation to continue their work and legacy among the poor of the Brazilian Amazon River basin.  For more information on the continuing work, the vision, testimonials and how to become a trusted partner, please e-mail son, Timothy Cain at tmc@timothymcain.com.  Memories and online condolences can be shared on www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com.
